The BMS in the Gladiator is bypassed for discharge. That means the BMS does not control the discharge rate of the battery. This is standard procedure and is done in many of our, and other OEM batteries. Cell balancing will occur during the charging process.
Through rigorous testing and research, we found that the stock controller has consistent true low voltage protection. This means that if you are using the stock controller that came with your Sur Ron, you'll be able to simply drop your battery in and use it!
If you're using the 72V version, you likely have a custom controller and have to ensure low voltage protection is enabled.
Make sure you check your controller settings and set low voltage protection ON.
You should never drain your 60v battery past 44.8v
You should never drain your 72v battery past 56v
